At Curated Objects, sourcing is intentional.
We believe vintage furniture should be selected with care. Not only for how it looks, but for how it is made, how it has aged and how it can continue to live in a modern interior. Every piece is considered for its material quality, form, condition, craftsmanship and overall presence.
Our aim is to offer vintage pieces that feel honest, characterful and lasting.
What We Look For
We are drawn to pieces with strong material presence, balanced proportions and a quiet sense of individuality.
When sourcing, we look closely at material, form, craftsmanship, construction, patina and condition. We value honest wear when it adds character, and we look for pieces that can still be used, lived with and appreciated for years to come.
Above all, we select furniture and objects that bring warmth, texture and atmosphere into a space.
What We Don’t Select
Not every vintage piece is right for Curated Objects.
We avoid pieces with poor structural condition, unstable construction, heavy damage, weak repairs or issues that would compromise their use or longevity. We also avoid pieces that no longer feel honest to their material, design or original character.
Aged surfaces, small marks and natural patina can be part of the beauty of vintage design. Damage, instability or careless repairs are different. We make that distinction carefully.
Our Restoration Approach
Our restoration philosophy is simple: respect the piece.
Where needed, we carry out light cleaning, careful repairs and sensitive restoration to make sure each item is stable, presentable and ready to use. This may include cleaning wood, conditioning leather, tightening frames, refreshing surfaces or addressing small functional issues.
We believe restoration should support the original design, not erase it. The goal is to preserve character while improving usability.
What We Avoid
We avoid over-restoration.
We do not try to make vintage pieces feel artificially new, hide every sign of age or replace character with perfection. Patina, small traces of use and natural ageing are part of what makes vintage furniture meaningful.
Each piece is described as clearly as possible, including age-related wear, condition notes and any relevant restoration, so you can understand what you are buying and why it has been selected.

Alongside our available collection, we also offer sourcing services for private homes, collectors and interior projects.
