Shipping & Delivery

At Curated Objects, each piece is packed and shipped with care, taking into account its age, material, size and fragility. As many of our pieces are vintage, antique or one-of-a-kind, we work with shipping solutions that suit the object and help it travel as safely as possible.

 

 

Smaller objects


Smaller objects are shipped fully insured and worldwide. Shipping costs for smaller items are calculated at checkout, unless stated otherwise.

Once your order has been placed and payment has been received, we will carefully prepare your piece for shipment and share tracking details where available.

 

 

Furniture & large items


For furniture and larger pieces, a shipping quote needs to be requested before or shortly after placing an order. Shipping costs for these items are not included in the product price unless expressly stated otherwise. The quote will depend on the piece, destination, required handling and type of transport.

We offer fully insured shipping for furniture and large items. Standard furniture delivery is curbside delivery, unless agreed otherwise in writing. White glove or in-home delivery may be available for larger pieces upon request. When requested, we will check availability with our trusted logistics partners for your delivery destination and provide a tailored quote where possible.

For fragile pieces, a custom wooden crate can be provided. For air freight and sea freight, a custom wooden crate will always be used to protect the piece during transport. To request a shipping quote, please contact us at:

International shipping


We offer worldwide shipping. International orders outside the European Union are shipped DAP (Delivered at Place) unless expressly agreed or stated otherwise in writing.

This means that Curated Objects arranges transport to the agreed delivery address, while the customer is responsible for any customs duties, import VAT, local taxes, clearance fees, handling fees, brokerage fees or other import-related costs due upon arrival.

These costs are not included in the product price or shipping price, unless expressly stated otherwise. Please note that customs procedures, import checks, unpaid import charges or local delivery issues may cause delays outside our control. 

 

 

Local pickup


Local pickup is possible by appointment at our warehouse in Amsterdam. If you choose pickup, we will contact you to arrange a suitable date and time. The customer is responsible for arranging suitable transport and making sure the piece can be transported safely.

 

 

Delivery address & access


Please make sure your delivery address and contact details are correct before placing your order. For larger deliveries, the customer is responsible for checking that the delivery location is accessible and that the piece can fit through doors, staircases, lifts or other access points.

Any extra costs caused by incorrect delivery details, missed delivery appointments, failed delivery attempts or inaccessible delivery locations may be charged to the customer.

 

 

Delivery inspection


Please inspect your order upon delivery. If the packaging appears damaged, we recommend asking the carrier to note this before accepting the delivery where possible. For damaged or incorrect items, please see our Return & Refund Policy.
