The table has a beautifully elongated silhouette with a low, quiet profile and a strong sense of horizontal balance. Its raised edges create a tray-like architectural frame around the top, while the gently rounded corners and sculpted transitions into the legs soften the overall form. The warm teak tone, visible grain, tapered stance, and subtle patina give the piece a calm, sculptural presence with the understated elegance associated with high-quality 1960s design.

Bovenkamp was a Dutch furniture manufacturer active during the mid-20th century, known for combining Dutch production with strong Scandinavian design influences. In the late 1950s and 1960s, the company collaborated with Danish designers Arnold Madsen and Henry Schubell, whose work brought softly sculpted lines, organic detailing, and Danish craftsmanship principles into Bovenkamp’s furniture. The Edith model is part of this sought-after design language, where clean Dutch manufacturing meets warm, Danish-inspired modernism.
