The sofa has a low, sculptural form with softly rounded arms, generous padded volumes and a beautifully worn NECK leather surface. The leather shows its natural grain, folds, creasing, tonal variation and visible traces of use, giving the piece a quiet and lived-in character. Its pull-out seat extends the depth of the sofa, adding to the relaxed, lounge-like proportions while keeping the overall form clean, bold and architectural.

The DS-47 is one of De Sede’s classic leather sofa models, recognised for its thick NECK leather, rounded form and distinctive natural fold pattern. De Sede describes the DS-47 as made with 5 mm thick NECK leather, a durable nappa leather sourced from strong bulls and known for its natural grain, rustic surface texture and individual character. Condition
Good vintage condition with signs of age and use consistent with its period. The NECK leather shows visible patina throughout, including scratches, scuffs, creasing, darker and lighter tonal variation, surface marks, rubbing to the arms and front panel, small nicks and general wear to the leather. The seat shows some signs of use and light impressions. The arms and back show age-related creasing and surface wear, especially along the rounded edges. The sofa remains structurally sound and presents beautifully with a strong, timeworn leather character.
