The chairs have a strong architectural silhouette, with solid elm frames, square legs, exposed joinery and leather seats and backrests that appear to be original to the set. The cognac leather has developed a deep, lived-in patina with tonal variation, visible wear and natural character, giving each chair a warm and collected presence. The contrast between the structured elm frame and the softly aged leather creates a tactile, sculptural design with a quiet French brutalist sensibility.

Maison Regain is known for French furniture from the 1960s to 1980s, often crafted in solid elm and natural materials, with a focus on robust construction, visible joinery and warm architectural forms.

Condition
Good vintage condition with signs of age and use consistent with its period. The elm frames show light scratches, small marks, knocks, patina and natural colour variation. The leather shows visible wear, scratches, darker marks, stains, edge wear, creasing and patina throughout, as shown in the photos. One wooden upright shows a visible hairline crack near the seat connection. The leather is original, which adds to the character and collectible value of the set. The chairs are structurally solid and ready for use.
