A vintage set of 4 Scandinavian pine dining chairs, made in Denmark and designed in the style of Niels Koefoed, likely produced during the 1970s. With sculptural rounded backrests, warm solid pine frames and newly reupholstered faux sheepskin seats, the set brings together Danish modern, rustic and softly brutalist design language in a warm, tactile way.

The chairs have a distinctive sculptural silhouette, with tall rounded backrests divided by small vertical spindles and a generous cut-out that gives the design a strong architectural presence. The solid pine frames show beautiful grain, rounded edges and a warm natural tone, softened by the newly added off-white faux sheepskin upholstery. The result is a characterful set with a balance of rustic warmth, playful form and quiet Scandinavian charm.

The design is in the style of Niels Koefoed, but the chairs clearly sit within the broader Danish design language of the 1970s, when pine furniture, organic forms and more expressive rustic-modern silhouettes became increasingly popular.
