A vintage set of 4 Danish teak dining chairs with paper cord seats, designed by Niels Otto Møller for J.L. Møllers Møbelfabrik and produced in Denmark, during the 1950s–1960s. Model 75 is one of Møller’s most recognisable Scandinavian modern dining chair designs, admired for its refined teak frame, open backrest and beautifully woven paper cord seat.

The chairs have a beautifully balanced silhouette, with softly rounded teak frames, slender tapered legs and a gently curved open backrest. The woven paper cord seats add warmth, texture and an organic rhythm to the design, while the rich teak patina gives the set a quiet depth. Elegant without feeling formal, the Model 75 has the kind of understated presence that makes Danish modern furniture so enduring.

Niels Otto Møller founded J.L. Møllers Møbelfabrik in Denmark in 1944, building a reputation for exceptionally crafted chairs with elegant joinery and refined proportions. Model 75 was designed in 1954 and remains one of the company’s classic designs, closely associated with Danish mid-century modern craftsmanship and the careful use of natural materials.

Condition
Good vintage condition with signs of age and use consistent with its period. The teak frames show natural patina, light scratches, small marks and areas of colour variation. The paper cord seats are intact and present well, with light wear, natural ageing and some minor irregularities to the woven surface as shown in the photos. Structurally solid and ready for use.
